Geoff Cooke

After a career of carpentry Geoff realized his passion was to work with dogs. When his first border collie died, he wanted to get the best relationship with his new border pup that he could. Geoff enrolled in dog obedience classes and soon discovered that he wanted to know all there was to understanding and training dogs.

To get more experience Geoff volunteered to assist in coaching the new dogs and owners in the club to which he belonged. This eventually led to his setting up his own business as well as volunteering at the CRD Animal Shelter. It was here that he saw the need to work with problem dogs and assist in finding new homes for dogs when life circumstances change.

Jan and Geoff teamed up together and Last Chance Dog Services was born. Together, Geoff, Jan and their 4 dogs bring their experience to assisting dogs in need with training or re-homing.

Jan Bettinson

Jan comes to the Last Chance team with a wealth of experience in living with, fostering, chasing, cleaning up after, boarding and ‘managing’ dogs. Jan owned and operated a ‘B & B’ for vacationing dogs here in Victoria. Most recently, Jan worked as a volunteer at the SPCA, and a Vet clinic while on a work contract in Bermuda and after returning home assisted volunteer organizations with their foster programs. Jan manages the Last Chance team and works closely with Geoff during consultations, assessments and training. Jan and Geoff together are an unbeatable team with a wealth of experience to share.
